Please reach us at youthfuturefest@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
YES! In 2023 we will have only 1 form: a guardian's permission form, with a section for you to tell us a bit about yourself (and an Artist's Statement for art, to explain your vision). THIS FORM WILL BE PRINTABLE -- look at PDF FORMS.
Send 3 clear photos of your art from different angles in the body of your email. Fill out the form with care and tell us the size of your art. Send your edited short story in a .doc, .docx or .pdf file to our email. Do NOT SEND a google doc. We are serious about the work, being "edited." A story has to be readable, and make sense. There should be a story arc, a sense of a problem or dilemma that is struggled with and comes to some sort of conclusion. Have a few others read it and give you feedback. Make this story the best you can write--at this stage in your life. No fanfiction. (See "Plagiarism"). Submit files, forms, photos to youthfuturefest@gmail.com
Send your EDITED story or 3-5 PHOTOS of your art WITH the FORM to our email by OCTOBER 31st, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. Yes, prizes are still being donated! Cash prizes and gift certificates! There are two $500 prizes as GICs from the Kingston Community Credit Union, and 4 cash prizes of $100. As well, a host of great prizes are rolling in . We keep updating that "Sponsored By" page and adding more prizes. Tickets to an Escape Room! Art! Books! Movie tickets! Games!... ART will be shown at the beautiful WiNDOW ART GALLERY beside the Kingston School of Art . Awards for art and stories will be given out at the Art Gallery one evening. Prizes will be mailed to youth who were unable to attend.
