Please reach us at youthimaginefuture@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question on this site.
The stories must be between 500 words and 2000 words long. No longer. No shorter. If you use Word, press "Review" to count the words. Stories must be submitted in a Word or a PDF document. No google docs. You, the youth, must be the original author, and not assisted by AI.
Send us a question if you are thinking of something unusual. Right now we are open to drawing, painting, sculpting, and all 3D compositions. Dimensions should generally not exceed a half metre cubed, but email us if yours is larger. We will try to make it work. Sorry, no video or films this year.
Why yes, we do! Thank you for asking. This will be published for a general audience in the newspaper. No excessive or graphic violence, no sex scenes even if romantic. If your character needs to curse, be creative, you nerk! Have fun with it. This should be a positive, hopeful story, even if there are tense, dramatic moments in it.
See the section "How To Submit."
Send 1-3 clear photos of your art from different angles to our email. Fill out the form with care and tell us the size of your art.
Send your edited short story in a .doc, .docx or .pdf file to our email. DO NOT SEND a google doc. We are serious about the work being "edited." A story has to be readable, and make sense. There should be a story arc, a sense of a problem or dilemma that is struggled with and comes to some sort of conclusion. Have others read it and give you feedback. Make this story the best you can write at this stage in your life. No fanfiction. (See "Plagiarism").
Submit files and the forms and/or photos to youthimaginefuture@gmail.com
