Climate Solutions
1. The story depicts renewable energy, sustainable transportation, regenerative farming &/or other solutions to the climate crisis that are rooted in contemporary scientific innovations /3
2. The story demonstrates cultural/social/community solutions to the climate crisis (i.e. people are living more communally; resources are shared equally, etc.) /3
3. The story represents how the natural world and biodiversity might be restored /3
Storywriting
4. The plot has an arc with a beginning, middle, and end and a problem which gets solved /3
5. The character(s) are well-developed and believable. /3
6. Writing is strong and clear /3. (Grammar, paragraphing, use of language)

Criteria for Art: Youth Imagine the Future
(Dimensions: under 50cmx50cmx50cm but larger than 20cm2)
We are not looking for art that simply shows us the ravages of the Climate Crisis. Dig deeper. Show us solutions and a better, possible future. Give us something to work toward! Inspire us.
1. The artwork demonstrates that the artist researched solutions for the future of their chosen region on Earth and has specifically imagined how: people will create electricity &/or transportation &/orfood &or how our sense of community might improve. (eg. buildings/housing or celebrations/work, etc.) The artwork could focus on one, some, or all of these topics. /3
2. The artwork represents how the natural world and biodiversity might be restored /3
3. The artwork shows a more socially just future. Symbols may be used. / 3
4. The artist(s)'s work is compelling and unique. The artwork shows the artist's vision and makes viewers think. /3
5. Art: Effectiveness in the use of the elements (line, shape, texture, space, value, form, colour) and principles (balance,emphasis, movement, proportion, contrast, unity, variety, repetition, pattern, rhythm) of design. /3
