For Short Stories
1. Do NOT include your name on the story.
2. Save your story with the story title as the file name. Use a clear font such as Arial or Times New Roman, size 12 or 14. It needs to be clear and easy to read. No fancy fonts or unusual sizes.
3. Save your story as a .doc, .docx or .pdf file ,
4. Complete the festival GOOGLE submission form. It is easy! Note: Writers do not need to complete the Artist's Statement section.
5. Problems using the google form? Try again. Finally, you may email your story and a photo of the older submission form, filled out, to youthimaginefuture@gmail.com between Oct. 15th - Oct 31st. We will let you know if we got your email. If you don't hear from us within 2 days, please email again.
For Visual Art
1. Take a clear photograph of your artwork. If the art is 3-D, take a few photos from different angles.
2. Complete the GOOGLE festival submission form. You must include an Artist's Statement. STATE YOUR THEME (eg. a sustainable place; eg. a future co-op, eg. restoring biodiversity) Stick to the word limit. Statements are cut off after the word limit has been reached. Reread the CRITERIA.
3. Problems using the google form? Try it again. Finally, you may mail the photos of your art and photos of the older submission form filled out to youthimaginefuture@gmail.com between Oct. 15th - Oct. 31st We will let you know if we got your email. If you don't hear from us within 2 days, please email again. If you need a day or two extra, email us. See #4.
4. Arrange for your art to go to the Art Gallery in Kingston. Ask your teacher to contact us to arrange for a school art pick-up, first week of November, or deliver your art to Queen's University McArthur Hall LIBRARY Art Gallery., Kingston, on Thur., Nov. 12th. Do NOT drop your art off at any other time.
